When others went to University or did their first overseas trip, Kath Purkis was busy starting her first business many years before the term “entrepreneur” was created & many years before it was “trendy” to do so.

Purkis founded her first business in 2007 at 21 years old, focusing on the luxury e-commerce sector. Following this business, she moved to launch a subscription e-Commerce, B2B businesses & other B2C e-Commerce businesses.

She has deep experience with China manufacturing, scalable e-Commerce solutions, customised software solutions, scaling globally & brand building.

Purkis has invested in each business she has founded, in addition to several start-ups & listed companies.

Purkis has featured in publications such as Inc, SMH, Vogue Australia, Glamour UK, Grazia, Dynamic Business, NETT, Cosmopolitan, Power Retail, Sydney Magazine, ELLE, Time Out Sydney, The Australian, Cleo Magazine & Startup Daily.

Kath is currently on the board of a handful of Australian start-ups & established businesses, helping guide them on growth, scale-up & path to exit.

Kath is also passionate about her Australian Champion Spaniels, promoting purebred breeds in Australia, the DOGSNSW community & is an active member of various community organisations in a volunteer capacity. Kath is also a SprintDog judge in Australia.

Currently, Kath is based in Sydney, Australia & actively investing in new businesses.
